MANAGEMENT TEAM

 

Rick Zipf
Chief Executive Officer

Rick Zipf was appointed CEO of ProSource Development in November 2003 and brings over 20 years of distribution, manufacturing, software and services experience to the company.  He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of strategic and day-to-day operations at ProSource Development.

Prior to joining ProSource, Rick served as the COO of Vcommerce, a leading provider of eCommerce solutions that provided solutions to manage high-volume order traffic across complex supplier networks.  While at Vcommerce, Rick reduced operations burn and brought two new products to market, helping to triple revenues and close a $12 million Series “D” round of funding.

Before Vcommerce, Rick spent several years in various capacities at Oracle, Viewlocity, i2 Technologies, Deloitte Consulting and McDonnell Douglas.  While at Deloitte Consulting, Rick created and implemented the firm’s global supply chain strategic marketing and partnership initiatives, helping to raise their global supply chain practice ranking from 17th largest to 4th largest in the industry.  Rick also served in the United States Navy for six years.

Rick holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.  He is a certified CIPM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) member of APICS, the premier industry association for operations management professionals.

Simon Ho
Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Simon Ho is responsible for leading finance, human resources, IT, facilities and legal functions.  Simon is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of financial management experience with small, medium and large hi-tech companies, having most recently served as the Vice President of Finance at Digital Chocolate, a mobile game publisher funded by Sequoia Capital and KPCB.  Before Digital Chocolate, Simon served as Senior Finance Director at Openwave Systems, where he was responsible for managing global finance.  Prior to that, Simon was the CFO with Connection to eBay, an Accenture company in B2C e-commence.

A true finance executive with global experience, Simon also held the positions of Vice President of Finance and, Finance Director of McAfee Asia, where he contributed to McAfee’s early growth in Asia through acquisitions and business developments.  In addition, Simon has worked as an international financial consultant on IPO readiness projects for clients in China.  Simon’s early careers include Intel, Sun Microsystems and Oracle Corporation.

Simon holds a degree in Computer Science from The University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

 

Scott Conover
Vice President, US Sales

Scott Conover has over 10 years of experience in information technology and services sales and marketing.  At ProSource Development, Scott is responsible for sales and business alliances in North America.

Prior to joining ProSource, Scott was a Partner at Demand360, a full service marketing and lead generation firm and also held senior account executive positions at Viewlocity and i2 Technologies.

Scott has a degree in Engineering from Oklahoma State University.

Simon Grosse
Director of Sales & Alliances, EMEA

Simon Grosse joined ProSource Development in January 2007 and brings 15 years experience of software sales and IT services in both large corporate and start up environments. Having successfully established the UK practice for ProSource, Simon is now responsible for building and managing the European business and developing new strategic partnerships in the region.

Prior to joining ProSource Development, Simon held the position of Sales Director for a leading Microsoft applications consultancy, tripling revenues over a three year period. Additionally, Simon held a senior sales position at IBM Software Group and has also won awards for outstanding sales performance.

Bing Chen
Vice President, Asia Operations

Bing Chen brings over 18 years of enterprise software development experience to ProSource Development including ERP, SCM and other high volume performance systems.  Bing is responsible for overall management of the engineering and operations teams based in the Shanghai Development Center and has successfully developed one of the largest Microsoft Dynamics AX training and development centers in Asia.

Prior to joining ProSource, Bing served as Chief Architect for Timogen Systems, developing technical roadmaps for their supply chain software products and managing their offshore development teams.  Bing has also held several key technical and management positions in industry-leading companies based in the Silicon Valley including I-Many, Vigilance, Fourth Shift, Tibco and Consilium.

Bing holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management Engineering from the University of Iowa and Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan.

April Merrill
Vice President, Global Marketing & Alliances

April Merrill joined ProSource Development as the Vice President of Marketing and brings 10 years of experience marketing business management software and services within the Microsoft and SAP partner channels. April is responsible for all aspects of marketing and public relations globally as well as building alliances with partners and ISVs.

Prior to joining ProSource Development April has held positions in both large corporatations and start up companies. Most recently April was the Marketing Director for Crossroads Partner in charge of crafting corporate messaging, branding and launching the company's new website. Prior to that April was the Liaison to Microsoft while at Tectura Corporation and served as the Marketing Manager for the west region amoung other roles. 

April has a degree in Marketing from Bentley College and a certificate in eMarketing from the eMarketing Association and is a member of the Business Marketing Association as well as the National Association for Professional Women.
